Orlando, Fla.  (RestaurantNewsRelease.com)  Sunshine Restaurant Corp, the Central Florida franchisee of Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants/sports bars, is opening its seventh location on Friday, August 27, at 2465 S. U.S. Hwy 27, Clermont, Florida.  This free standing building is an out parcel  in the Clermont Landing Shopping Center, developed by Weingarten Realty.

To launch the new location, Buffalo Wild Wings will be giving the first 100 guests to enter the store at 10 a.m. on Friday free wings for a year. A ribbon cutting with the South Lake Chamber of Commerce will take place at 9:45 a.m.

The new restaurant/sports bar is comprised of a 7,000 square foot building and a 2,400 square foot outdoor patio/bar. The facility will include approximately 50 video monitors, including some 3-D 65 inch, 13 large video screens (100 inch) and three movie theatre size main video screens (225 inch), which are among the largest video screens at any restaurant/sports bar in the USA.

About 90 new jobs are being created by Sunshine Restaurant Corp at the new location.

“The Clermont metro area is one of the fastest growing communities in the Central Florida area, with a lack of family-oriented places to watch sporting events,” says Andrew Gross, CEO/President of Sunshine. “We’re excited about this opportunity to expand our brand and serve new guests from throughout Lake County.”

The restaurant/sports bar was built by Clermont-based Schmid Construction and Development.

The total development cost, including design/engineering, site work, construction, fixtures/furniture/equipment, etc. was approximately $3.0 million, with significant funding provided by Regions Bank.

The Clermont location is the latest step in a significant expansion program for Sunshine Restaurant Corp. The company recently increased the size of its Lake Buena Vista location, including the addition of a 2,000 square foot patio/bar, and opened its sixth Buffalo Wild Wings in Formosa Gardens/Disney Main Gate in July.  Sunshine is scouting locations across the Central Florida area for further expansion in 2011 and beyond. In addition, the company plans to open 20 Smashburger restaurants in Central Florida, with up to three units in the next six months.
