Charlotte, NC (Restaurant News Release) Charlotte-based Hawthorne’s New York Pizza & Bar announced today it will open its fifth full-service location in the Charlotte-metro region. The new store will be located in Ballantyne at the Village at Robinson Farm at 8410 Rea Rd. Charlotte, NC 28277.
Following six quarters of steady growth, owners Michael Adams, John Adams and Carlo Martinez are excited to expand the Hawthorne’s concept again.
“We’re shooting for an early August opening,” said Matthew Vincent, Director of Marketing for the local, independently operated restaurant concept. “About a week before the opening we’ll have a free slice day for the community.”
Like any good pizzeria, every Hawthorne’s becomes a hub of community activity and local philanthropy in its surrounding neighborhoods. Hawthorne’s works closely with schools, area non-profits and government agencies. For instance, with coordination from the Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation department last year, Hawthorne’s co-adopted Independence Park with the Elizabeth Community Association.
On the culinary side of things, Hawthorne’s also differs from local competitors by making its never-frozen dough and sauces from scratch every day in-house. Anchored by a local Charlotte favorite, the $12 18-inch New Yorker cheese pizza, Hawthorne’s guests find a menu that includes plenty of classic Italian-American fare, appetizers, sandwiches, and pastas, plus gluten-free and kids options.
