Smashburger Introduces its “Better Burger” to Nashville

Franchise Agreement Brings Popular Fast-Casual Concept to the Nashville area

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RestaurantNewsRelease.com) Smashburger, a fast-casual, “better burger” restaurant has signed an agreement with Winding River Restaurants, LLC to operate 13 restaurants in the Nashville metro area.

The deal with Winding River Restaurant, LLC brings the number of signed franchise agreements to more than 350 and by year’s end, Smashburger will have approximately 100 stores in more than 15 states. With a combination of corporate, franchise and joint venture partnerships, Smashburger has created a strategy that allows the Denver-based company to grow quickly and deliver its promise of a “better-burger” that maximizes guests’ time and dining experience.

Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers are a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent—fresh, not frozen, Certified Angus Beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavors.

“Smashburger is excited to make its mark in Nashville and we are confident in our partnership with Winding River Restaurants,” says Smashburger President Scott Crane. “They are the ideal franchisee to introduce Smashburger’s unique concept and ‘better burger’ to the Nashville community.”

“After trying first trying Smashburger, we loved the concept and food and realized the potential of this ‘better burger’ restaurant right away,” says Joseph Henry, Winding River Restaurant, LLC Vice President of Operations. “Nashville is a great place for food and we are confident residents will quickly embrace Smashburger and fall in love with its savory burgers.”
