Villa Enterprises Captures Major Food Court Contract at Orlando International Airport

Morristown, NJ  (Restaurant News Release)  Villa Enterprises, multi-brand restaurant operator and franchisor, has announced that they have been awarded the contract to transform the Orlando International Airport, Airside 2 food court. The new Food Hall by Villa is expected to open in February and will feature six new concepts to the airport: Villa Italian Kitchen, Green Leaf’s & Bananas, The Market by Villa, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Asian Chao Oriental Eatery, and Chipotle. The project is estimated to bring in more than $150 million in revenue over the ten year term.

After an extensive Request For Proposal (RFP) process, Villa was selected as the preferred proposer amongst seven total groups and was officially approved by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) on April 15th. The win marks a major milestone for the New Jersey based company and their Food Hall by Villa concept as they look to expand their growing airport concession division.

The redevelopment will transform the current dining offering in the terminal by expanding the brand lineup, increasing options, and completely remodeling the common seating area beginning in October of this year. SmartDesign Group of Vancouver, Canada provided the dynamic design and renderings for the winning 11,100+ square foot Food Hall.

Orlando International Airport is in the midst of a more than $1 billion expansion that is the most ambitious construction project on site since the main terminal opened in 1981. With nearly 36 million annual passengers, Orlando International is currently the 14th busiest airport in the United States, and strives to value and delight its customers through a design concept known as The Orlando Experience®. The Airside 2 terminal currently houses Southwest Airlines, AirTran and Virgin America.

The new Food Hall by Villa at Orlando International will feature three of Villa’s proprietary concepts; Villa Italian Kitchen, Green Leaf’s & Bananas, and The Market by Villa, along with three partner brands; Jersey Mike’s Subs, Asian Chao Oriental Eatery, and Chipotle. The Chipotle in Airside 2 will mark only the fifth airport location in the world for the popular brand. These new restaurants will offer a wide-ranging variety of cuisines to fit every taste and dietary preference with menu items available to satisfy every possible demographic and budget. The revamp of the Concord Mills Mall location of Salsarita’s comes in a year when the franchise is experiencing growth throughout the country. Backed by restaurant industry veteran Phil Friedman, CEO of Salsarita’s, the franchise has multiple deals in place to bring restaurants to areas including Alpharetta, Georgia; High Point, North Carolina; and Columbia, South Carolina, all within the year. Already this year, Salsarita’s has come to Starkville, Mississippi, with a location scheduled to be opened in Oxford, Mississippi in May.

Villa Enterprises Annual Holiday Donation to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital Brings Smiles to Those in NeedMorristown, NJ  (Restaurant News Release)  Villa Enterprises, multi-brand restaurant operator and franchisor celebrating 50 years in business, announced their annual contribution to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center was delivered to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital for the holidays at 703 Main Street, Paterson, NJ, today.

Villa Enterprises has a long track record of giving back to the community, and began working with St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital (SJCH) Pediatric family center to contribute to children and families in need in 2008.  SJCH treats children from birth to teenagers with cancer that stay in the hospital as well as outpatient.  Each year, Villa’s donations are used for SJCH big holiday party as well as “celebrations” throughout the year for a child’s birthday, treatment(s) ending, etc.  This year’s contributions from Villa Enterprises were movie themed for SJCH’s “Frozen Holiday Party” which included “Frozen” themed toys for boys and girls, toys for young children, toddlers, babies, educational and artistic gifts and gift cards donated for teens.

“It was truly amazing how many creative donations we received this year from our friends at Villa Enterprises,” said Shaundra McCarter, Child Life Specialist, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.  “It will bring smiles to children in need!

Villa Enterprises 13th Annual Charity Golf Outing Raises $68,358 for Local CharitiesMorristown, NJ  (Restaurant News ReleaseVilla Enterprises Management, celebrating 50 years in business, announced today for #GivingTuesday, their 13th Annual Villa Enterprises/Scotto Properties Charity Golf Outing and Dinner, at the Shackamaxon Golf Club in Scotch Plains, N.J., held on September 22nd, raised $68,358 for local charities. This year, three local charities were chosen for a portion of the monies raised, The Morristown Police Department, Deidre’s House – The Center for Morris County’s Child Victims, and The National Autism Association, among other local nonprofits which will be chosen throughout the year.

“Over 100 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the course to raise the largest amount yet of $68,358 for local charities at our 13th Annual golf outing,” said Lori Orrico, Villa’s Event Coordinator.  “Contests included the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Straightest Drive and Hole in One. After 18 holes, donors enjoyed a cocktail reception, raffle prizes and dinner,” said Orrico.

Maria Savettiere, Executive Director of Deidre’s House, thanked the guests for donating, sharing how the money will be used to help with child abuse prevention, intervention and education programs for Morris County’s Child Victims. The Morristown Police Department and The National Autism Association each also received a portion of the donations raised from this year’s 13th Annual Villa Enterprises/Scotto Properties Charity Golf Outing, and other area nonprofits will benefit throughout the year.

Over the past 50 years, Villa Enterprises has donated millions of dollars in the communities they serve with its commitment to giving back.  Besides their annual Golf Outing, Villa’s charitable donations have helped the mission’s of thousands of charities and nonprofits with fundraisers at some of their 370 restaurant locations across the U.S.
