The Cheesecake Factory Invites Guests to Celebrate “National Hamburger Month” with “The Great Glamburger Challenge”



Only 14 More Days Remaining to Submit Burger Creations for a Chance to Win a Glamorous Getaway and Get Winning Glamburger on the Menu for One Year

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif. (RestaurantNewsRelease.com) In celebration of “National Hamburger Month” and the beginning of the backyard grilling season, America’s leader in the upscale casual dining segment, The Cheesecake Factory, invites guests to celebrate their passion for hamburgers by creating the next signature Glamburger. This burger creation will be a part of the company’s new Glamburger menu, which currently features six hamburgers each inspired by a different region of the United States. Two weeks remain for guests to submit their distinctive burger creation as a part of The Cheesecake Factory’s “The Great Glamburger Challenge” contest. Glamburger creations must be received online by 11:59 p.m. PST on May 31, 2010.

Participants are invited to submit their signature Glamburger at www.thecheesecakefactory.com/glamorous by using an interactive virtual hamburger creator. Burger enthusiasts can create and submit a customized virtual hamburger piled high with their favorite combination of “glamorous” toppings, cheeses and sauces, ranging from spicy fire roasted green chiles and smoked bacon to crispy onion rings and herbed goat cheese.

Entries have been pouring in, with nearly 20,000 Glamburger creations received thus far. Five lucky finalists will be chosen on June 15 by The Cheesecake Factory’s culinary team, and posted on The Cheesecake Factory’s website for the public to vote on from June 15 – 30. The five finalists will be judged on taste appeal, creativity and compelling story behind the creation. The winner will be announced on July 1.

The grand prize winner will be awarded their choice of one of six Glamorous Getaway vacations inspired by the new Glamburger menu. Destinations include: Memphis, Tenn; Sonoma, Calif.; Monterey, Calif.; Austin, Texas; Rogue River Valley, Ore.; or Santa Fe, N.M. The winner will also have their Glamburger creation added to The Cheesecake Factory menu for one year alongside the current Glamburger menu offerings that include:

  • MEMPHIS BURGER – Topped with Slow Roasted B.B.Q. Pork, Melted Cheddar, Cole Slaw, Pickles and Mayonnaise
  • MONTEREY CHEESEBURGER – Avocado, Melted Jack Cheese, Arugula and Red Onion with Honey-Mustard Mayonnaise
  • SMOKEHOUSE B.B.Q. BURGER – Smoked Bacon and Melted Cheddar with Crispy Onion Rings and B.B.Q. Ranch Sauce
  • SONOMA BURGER – Herbed Goat Cheese, Mushrooms, Oven-Roasted Tomatoes, Arugula, Red Onion and Mayonnaise
  • BLUE CHEESE B.L.T. BURGER – Crispy Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Mayonnaise with Lots of Blue Cheese
  • GREEN CHILE CHEESEBURGER – Spicy Fire-Roasted Green Chiles and Onions with Crispy Tortilla Strips, Melted Cheese, Tomato Salsa and Chipotle Mayo
