Lorrie’s Salad Now Available at Saladworks

Lorrie’s Salad is a base of the freshest mixed lettuce leaves topped with toasted almonds, avocado slices, feta cheese chunks, roasted turkey breast, and crunchy pita chips finished with a fresh Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing.

Lorrie Nixon of Covina, CA’s salad is the second of three winners of the franchise’s “Create-Your-Own Powerhouse Salad” contest. Winners received a $500 gift card and the opportunity to have their salad creation sold in stores as a seasonal salad.

“When I was creating my salad I was thinking about the Mediterranean in the summer, and I came up with feta cheese and pita chips,” Nixon said. “I added avocado, a California staple, and just mixed all the things that I love together!”

“Out of the several thousand entries we received, an overwhelming majority included avocados.
