Costa Mesa, CA (RestaurantNewsRelease.com) Here’s the “skinny” on a new bar menu that might have you seeing “green.” Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill at South Coast Plaza has introduced a new drink menu that offers several eco-friendly selections as well as something for those on a diet and even those who abstain from alcohol. For example, General Manager Travis Miller said that the new wine list consists of labels using grapes free of chemicals (fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides) that are grown USDA/CCOF-certified organic using environmentally safe farming practices. One of the wines featured, Trinity Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon, is going one step further by pledging to plant a tree for each bottle of their wine sold.
Also, Z’Tejas’ new “skinny” drinks contain fewer than 250 calories each and naturally sweetened with agave and fresh fruits, not artificial sweeteners. Some of them even feature VeeV Acai spirit, a popular alcoholic beverage whose main ingredient is the Brazilian berry. The Acai is considered to be the world’s preeminent superfruit and is high in antioxidants.
Among the non-alcoholic offerings are the hibiscus zinger, mango mint agua fresca, berry colada and sun wildberry lemonade.
Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill is open daily for lunch and dinner; half price appetizers and drink specials are offered during happy hour. Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill is located on the east side of South Coast Plaza (3333 S. Bristol Street, Costa Mesa). For more information, call (714) 979-7469 or visit www.ztejas.com.
