MIAMI (Restaurant News Release) Burger King Corp. (BKC) today announced the appointment of Jose Cil as President of its Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region, based in the company’s EMEA headquarters in Zug, Switzerland. As part of BKC’s global executive team, Cil will report to Chief Executive Officer Bernardo Hees.
“Jose’s industry experience is a significant asset to our business and we are pleased to have him lead our EMEA region,” Hees said. “We’ve experienced strong growth in Europe and the Middle East in the past few years and we are confident that Jose’s leadership will continue to build on our accomplishments and take our business in the region to the next level.”

Cil began his career with BKC in 2000, as a senior attorney and quickly assumed positions of increasing responsibility within the Global Operations function. In 2005, Jose joined the EMEA team as division vice president of operations. In 2008, Jose returned to the U.S. as division vice president of company operations. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Regional Manager for Wal-Mart Stores in Florida.
