Culturally Authentic Sports Cantina Launches Carne Asada, Mexicali Shrimp Tacos, Burrito Bowl, and Shrimp Boil Just in Time for Football Season
Dallas, TX (Restaurant News Release) Ojos Locos Sports Cantina is expanding its authentic Latin menu with four new scratch-made dishes arriving Monday, August 3. Featuring a premium Carne Asada Plate, customizable Burrito Bowl, bold Mexicali Shrimp Tacos and a new mariscos-style Shrimp Boil, the lineup showcases the vibrant Latin flavors and generous portions guests have come to expect from Ojos Locos.
Prepared to order with premium ingredients and fresh produce, the new offerings build on the authentic Latin kitchen Ojos Locos guests already know for traditional tacos, fresh-never-frozen wings, sizzling fajitas, and hand-smashed burgers.
Available across all locations, the new menu additions include:
- Burrito Bowl: A customizable bowl built around Ojos Locos’ scratch-made Latin proteins. Guests can choose grilled chicken, or upgrade to carne asada, barbacoa or shrimp, all served over rice and beans with shredded cheese, avocado, pico de gallo, roasted corn, habanero onions, fresh cilantro, lime and signature Yucateco sauce.
- Carne Asada: An 8 oz. grilled sirloin steak topped with sautéed onions and peppers, Monterrey cheese, Chihuahua cheese, queso fresco, avocado, habanero onions and salsa roja, served with rice and beans. Guests can add a blackened shrimp skewer for an additional $2.
- Mexicali Shrimp Tacos: Three blackened shrimp tacos topped with fresh cabbage, spicy mayo, avocado, roasted corn, pico de gallo, and fresh cilantro.
- Shrimp Boil: Inspired by the popularity of Ojos Locos’ Aguachile Verde and Ceviche, this shareable dish expands the brand’s seafood offerings with one pound of shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, whole red potatoes, grilled onions and jalapeños tossed in signature ‘Kitchen Sink’ garlic-lime butter sauce infused with Mexican chiles & spices, melted butter, and Cajun seasoning.
“Every menu addition starts with what our guests are craving and how we can bring authentic Latin flavors to the table,” said Chef Alex Sadowsky, Vice President of Training, Culinary & Beverage at Ojos Locos Sports Cantina. “This menu introduces even more variety, from our premium Carne Asada Plate and customizable Burrito Bowl to seafood-forward additions like the Mexicali Shrimp Tacos and new Mariscos-Style Shrimp Boil. We’re continuing to build on the flavors our guests already love while giving them new reasons to come back.”
Just in time for football season, the new menu arrives as Ojos Locos prepares to welcome fans for NFL preseason, college football Saturdays, and every game-day matchup throughout the fall. With wall-to-wall TVs delivering a 360-degree sports-viewing experience, every seat is the best seat for fútbol, football, UFC fights, boxing, basketball, baseball, and more.
