Over the past decade, the “Andean Superfood” has become very popular, and often mistaken for a grain. Though it is often called a whole grain, quinoa isn’t a grain at all – it’s actually a seed. Quinoa, (pronounced keen-wah), is a chenopod (cousin to a beet); rich in minerals, it’s the only vegetable that’s a complete protein, low in fat and gluten free! The new Sesame Asian Quinoa joins the menu at all 38 locations today for a limited time.  For a list of locations click here:

“Green Leaf’s addition of quinoa to the menu is sure to satisfy our customers’ desire for complete vegetarian protein options,” said Anthony Scotto, Chief Executive Officer, Villa Enterprises. “And it is another great way for us to deliver on our promise to our guests of Beyond Great Salads.”
