(Restaurant News Release) On National Cheeseburger Day, Friday, September 18, 2015, Habit executives led by CEO Russ Bendel rang the opening NASDAQ bell in New York City with officials from Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry.
The Irvine-based Habit Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: HABT) also announced a minimum contribution of $200,000 to No Kid Hungry, enough to provide two million meals to hungry kids in the United States.
Contributions were collected from guests at 120 Habit Burger Grills nationwide who made a $2 donation and in turn received a certificate for a free Charburger with cheese on their next visit. Donations may be made through September 30, and Charburger with cheese certificates may be redeemed though October 31, 2015.
