North Texas barbecue landmark honors decades of community, hickory-smoked favorites and loyal guests at Garland location
Garland, TX (Restaurant News Release) Soulman’s Bar-B-Que is celebrating a major milestone as its Garland restaurant marks 35 years of serving authentic Texas-style barbecue to generations of North Texas families.
Since opening its Garland location in 1991, Soulman’s has become a longtime staple for local residents, sports teams, churches, businesses and families gathering around slow-smoked brisket, ribs, sausage and homemade sides. The anniversary recognizes not only the longevity of the restaurant, but also the lasting relationships built within the Garland community over more than three decades.
Founded in Pleasant Grove in 1974, Soulman’s Bar-B-Que has grown into one of North and East Texas’ most recognized family-owned barbecue brands while remaining committed to its original recipes, hickory-smoked cooking methods and customer-first service philosophy.
“For 35 years, the Garland community has welcomed Soulman’s as part of its family,” said Brett Randle, CEO of Soulman’s Bar-B-Que. “We have had the privilege of watching families grow up with us, celebrating milestones, Friday night dinners, little league victories and everyday moments around the table. That kind of loyalty means everything to us.”
Over the years, the Garland restaurant has served countless community events, school functions, local fundraisers and neighborhood celebrations while continuing to deliver the same Texas-style barbecue recipes that helped establish the Soulman’s name more than 50 years ago.
Soulman’s signature meats are smoked “low and slow” over hickory wood, accompanied by longtime customer favorites including Ranch House Beans, potato salad, coleslaw and Texas-style cream corn. The restaurant’s commitment to consistency and hospitality has helped it remain a beloved destination in Garland for decades.
“Restaurants become part of the fabric of a city when generations continue coming back year after year,” said Amber Polk, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Soulman’s Bar-B-Que. “We are incredibly grateful to Garland for 35 years of memories, support and shared meals.”
Today, Soulman’s operates 21 locations across North and East Texas and continues expanding while preserving the family-owned values and traditions that built the brand.
Guests are invited to celebrate the Garland restaurant anniversary throughout the summer by visiting the location and sharing favorite Soulman’s memories on social media.
