Expanding the Bayou-Inspired Experience Across the Lone Star State

Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch is bringing more of its trademark “Southern Cookin’ with a California Twist!” to the Lone Star State. The brand recently announced a significant expansion move that includes two new units in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and a highly anticipated entry into the Austin market.

A new franchise team, led by experienced restaurateurs Samy Kilaru and Madhu Nalamati, is set to introduce the bayou-inspired concept to the growing communities of McKinney and Allen. This development builds on the strong early success seen at the brand’s three existing locations in the DFW area.

Expanding the Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch Footprint in DFW

The decision to grow further in North Texas comes after an overwhelmingly positive reception from local diners. The unique atmosphere and specialized menu have allowed the brand to carve out a distinct niche in the competitive daytime dining segment.

“The enthusiastic response to Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch from our guests in DFW has been energizing, to say the least,” said Greg Graber, CEO of Heritage Restaurant Brands. “Their positive reviews and encouraging comments make us even more excited to continue growing this concept throughout the state.”

Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch Makes Its Austin Debut

In addition to the North Texas growth, the brand has signed its first unit in the Cedar Park/Round Rock area. This marks a major milestone as it represents the first official entry into the greater Austin market.

Known for providing an immersive escape, the restaurant features Zydeco music, Southern charm, and a “front-porch” ambiance designed to make guests feel at home. The menu is a tribute to New Orleans-inspired flavors, featuring signature items like Mardi Gras Beignets, Stacked Chicken and Waffles, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Huckleberry Stuffed French Toast.

Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch is more than a brunch restaurant, it’s a daytime escape from the ordinary,” Graber added. “The moment you walk in, you’re transported to the Louisiana bayou. We can’t wait to introduce that experience to our guests in Austin – they are going to love it!”

The Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch Business Model

As the brand continues its steady national climb, it remains focused on partnering with operators who value community and genuine hospitality. A key draw for many franchisees is the daytime-only operating hours. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the model ensures that owners and team members can be home for dinner every night, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Site selection for the new Texas restaurants is beginning immediately. Soon, residents in McKinney, Allen, and Cedar Park will have a new destination to relax, sip Swamp Tea, and enjoy a taste of the bayou.
