Bagel Fans’ Last Chance to Claim Free Bruegger’s Bagel and Cream Cheese

Facebook campaign offering free bagel and cream cheese to end July 5

BURLINGTON, Vt.  (RestaurantNewsRelease.com)  Bagel lovers have only one week left to get America’s Best Bagel – for free. On July 5, Bruegger’s will wrap up its 2-month “America’s Best Bagel” Campaign, which offers Bruegger’s Facebook Fans a free bagel with cream cheese with just a few clicks of a mouse.

Until July 5, Facebook users can click on one of Bruegger’s Facebook ads promoting the offer, or on the tab dedicated to the offer on Bruegger’s Facebook page. Users need only to “like” Bruegger’s first, and then click to download the coupon; available one time each to all Facebook users – not just new fans.

Bruegger’s launched the free Facebook offer to give everyone a taste of a truly authentic bagel, kettle boiled and baked fresh all day, every day in each of its bakeries.

“We make our bagels the way the artisan bakeries intended,” said Bruegger’s Executive Chef, Philip Smith. “All day, in each of our bakeries, bagels are kettle boiled first, then baked, resulting in a light texture and egg shell crust. If everyone could taste a truly authentic bagel fresh from the oven, they would realize that everything else is just toast.”

Throughout the campaign, Bruegger’s has doubled its Facebook fan base to over 88,000 fans and anticipates more growth during the final week of the coupon offer. As a result of the overwhelming response, Bruegger’s plans to offer additional special promotions to thank their loyal customers for their support on Facebook.

For almost 30 years, Bruegger’s has been satisfying the demanding tastes of American bagel connoisseurs. Bruegger’s is the only national chain that kettle boils and bakes bagels fresh all day long on stone hearths in each of its bakeries. The authentic, New York-style plain bagels are made simply with just five basic ingredients.

In 2009, the bagel maker sold 87 million bagels at nearly 300 bakeries in the U.S. Topping all those bagels was more than 2.5 million pounds of cream cheese. Bruegger’s is also credited with creating the world’s largest bagel on August 27, 2004. The oversized bagel weighed in at 868 pounds and required 1,100 pounds of dough, 900 gallons of water and a bake time of 10 hours.
