The Farm Fresh Burger Concept Hosted Three Fundraising Initiatives in 2023 Benefitting Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, UMC Children’s Hospital, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital
Riverside, CA (Restaurant News Release) Farmer Boys, the fast-casual restaurant serving award-winning burgers, raised over $100,000 in 2023 benefitting long-lasting hospital partners Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH), UMC Children’s Hospital, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Throughout the year, guests had an opportunity to donate via three different initiatives, with funds going to help save children’s lives, provide updated medical devices, and assist the caregivers and nurses. Due to the success of the fundraising campaigns, Farmer Boys has pledged to continue its efforts in 2024 in continued support of these organizations.
Farmer Boys’ fundraising initiatives in 2023 included its round-up initiative where guests could round up their change to the nearest dollar on purchases to be donated. In addition, the brand launched a Fundraiser Wall across all locations for guests and local businesses to view the progress of their donations over time. Making the most impact, Farmer Boys donated one dollar from every Strawberry Lemonade purchase, made between August 15 – October 30, back to the local hospitals. In total, Farmer Boys raised a total of $93,174 for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in California; $8,631 for UMC Children’s Hospital in Nevada and $3,006 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Arizona.
“For the past 23 years, Farmer Boys has made it its mission to support health care workers and children’s health,” said Joe Adney, vice president and chief marketing officer for Farmer Boys. “It’s rewarding to know that even the small action of rounding up change can help lend a helping hand to those in our communities. Our Strawberry Lemonade drink was very popular this year and we wanted to utilize that popularity to make a difference. We are so very thankful to our loyal guests across California, Nevada, and Arizona for helping us make this possible. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to give back to the communities that have supported Farmer Boys’ mission all these years. We look forward to continuing these partnerships for many years to come!”
Since its first partnership with Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in 2000, Farmer Boys has fundraised and donated over $1.4 million towards children’s health, helping to provide world-class clinical care and outreach programs to children each year. With the addition of partnering with UMC Children’s Hospital of Nevada in 2018 and Phoenix Children’s Hospital in 2021, Farmer Boys continues the effort to advance the medical field and support youth health and wellness for a better future.
