America’s iconic family brand dishes out sunny season comfort, frosty favorites and plenty of reasons to treat yourself beginning May 20
Dallas, TX (Restaurant News Release) Friendly’s is soaking up the summertime with a red, white and blue celebration of flavor, refreshing sips and family-friendly value. Launching May 20, the Star-Spangled menu introduces new dishes, brings back fan-favorite lobster offerings, expands the Dirty Soda selection and updates the brand’s popular 10 Under $10 menu – all designed to bring everyday joy to the table.
Leading the seasonal rollout is the return of Summer Catch favorites that highlight classic coastal flavors:
- Maine Style Lobster Roll: Chilled lobster salad with celery and crisp lettuce on a classic roll, served with golden fries.
- Connecticut Style Lobster Roll: Warm lobster on a classic roll, served with melted butter and golden fries.
- Lobster & Shrimp Quesadilla: Lobster and shrimp with melted Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses in warm tortillas, served with sour cream, salsa and golden fries.
Complementing the seafood lineup is the Star-Spangled Summer menu, a festive collection of savory dishes, sweet treats and returning fan-favorite sips:
- Stars & Stripes Chili Dog: A grilled Friendly’s® hot dog topped with chili, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese and diced onions on a New England-style roll, served with golden fries and a free Happy Ending sundae.
- Red, White & Bleu Burger: Friendly’s Big Beef® Burger with Tillamook® white cheddar, bleu cheese crumbles, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo on a potato bun, served with golden fries and a free Happy Ending Sundae.
- Freedom Fresh Salad: Mixed greens with strawberries, blueberries, red onions, bleu cheese crumbles and walnuts, tossed in balsamic vinaigrette, with the option to add grilled chicken. Also includes a free Happy Ending Sundae.
- Chili: A cup of hearty beef, beans and spices topped with mixed cheese.
- Old Glory Sundae: Vanilla ice cream topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries, whipped cream and a cherry.
- Shark in the Water: Back by popular demand, this iconic summer sip returns with a bubbly ocean-blue mix of Sprite®, blue raspberry syrup, gummy sharks and fruity ‘shark bait’ for a sweet bite in every sip.
Additionally, Friendly’s is continuing the fun with its Dirty Soda lineup, featuring a mix of returning and new flavors with a red, white and blue-inspired twist. Bubbly new options include:
- All-American Punch: Sprite® with Minute Maid® fruit punch, topped with cream and a strawberry.
- Blue Razz Crush: Returning favorite featuring Sprite® with blue raspberry syrup, topped with cream. Bright, bubbly and bursting with flavor.
- Coconut Freedom Fizz: Sprite® with coconut syrup, topped with cream and a lime wedge.
On the dessert side, the beloved Wattamelon Cake is returning for a limited time, featuring layers of watermelon sherbet with chocolate chips and lemon sherbet. The brand is also making its Fluffernutter flavor and Fluffernutter sundae permanent menu items.
Value remains central to the Friendly’s experience with an updated 10 Under $10 menu, available in-store only. The refreshed lineup includes new additions such as the Half Cobb Salad, Half Crispy Chicken Salad and Half Turkey Club SuperMelt, alongside returning options like Cheeseburger Sliders, Side Mini Mozz, Half BLT Sandwich, Garden Salad and more.
Guests can also take advantage of the Happy Ending Menu, now featuring select Star-Spangled Summer entrées. With the purchase of a qualifying item on this menu, guests receive a free Happy Ending Sundae.
