Award-winning brunch concept to celebrate opening of first location in “The Port City”

The Toasted Yolk Café Toasts Mobile with Grand Opening on Monday, March 4Mobile, AL  (Restaurant News Release)  Opening in the heart of midtown Mobile, The Toasted Yolk Café will open its doors with a special Grand Opening event on Monday, March 4. The beloved, made-from-scratch brunch brand will celebrate its first location in the city with a variety of celebratory festivities.

Located at 2066 Old Shell Road, The Toasted Yolk is situated inside a fully renovated, 94-year-old building and features a newly built, pet-friendly turf patio. This restaurant is the second Toasted Yolk location for owner/operators Ryan LaFleur and John Lockett.

“If you want a strawberry field salad at 7am, or eggs and pancakes at 3pm, we are brunch all-day everyday,” said Lockett. “We want our guests to feel like they’re on vacation, even if it’s a quick bite-to-eat before going back to work. With our scratch-made dishes and drinks, great service, and cool atmosphere, we want to provide our guests with a true go-to brunch destination.

In celebration of the grand opening, the brand will hold a raffle for free breakfast once a week, for a full year. Additionally, to kick-start the restaurant’s partnership with the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation (PMSF), 10% of opening day sales will be donated to the organization. Phelan-McDermid Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that can affect many critical functions in a person’s body, from learning and communicating to eating and sleeping. The foundation is working to make today better and the future brighter for everyone living with this complex condition, from the moment of diagnosis to the delivery of treatments and cures.
