Alabama-born sushi favorite expands home-state footprint with first Oxford restaurant
Oxford, AL (Restaurant News Release) The strings are tuned, levels are checked and the mic is hot as Rock N’ Roll Sushi takes the stage in Oxford on Dec. 15. The Alabama-born brand known for its loud attitude, twisted takes on traditional Japanese dishes and unapologetic “Sushi Amplified” energy opens its newest restaurant at 254 Oxford Exchange Blvd., near Target, Sam’s Club, I-20 and Highway 431.
The Oxford location marks Rock N’ Roll Sushi’s first restaurant in the city and 21st in its home state, joining existing Alabama spots in Huntsville, Birmingham, Dothan and Mobile – where the brand first launched.
Owned and operated by franchise partners Kris Roberts and Neal Gibbs, the new restaurant brings the brand’s signature attitude closer to fans in East Alabama.
“Alabama is where Rock N’ Roll Sushi was born, so opening in Oxford feels like adding another track to a hometown album,” said Roberts. “We can’t wait to give the community a restaurant that feels like a backstage pass – loud, welcoming and one-of-a-kind.
The restaurant will host a soft opening on Dec. 15, with grand opening festivities to follow. Operating hours are Sunday–Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday–Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Guests will find a lineup of Rock N’ Roll Sushi’s greatest hits, like fan-favorite rolls, hibachi-style entrees, crispy apps and playful mashups. The Oxford location will open without alcohol service initially, with the full bar program rolling out at a later date.
This expansion shines the spotlight on the brand’s continued momentum across Alabama, where its roots run deep and demand keeps growing.
